Conference Week

Greetings!

Conference week came and went for the Lysne Family.  We all participated or led conferences over the past week.  The exciting part of this of course is that Jonas and Elsa had another teacher conference to mark their growth over the past year.  It is always so exciting to see how much they can do!  It is also so cool to hear about our kids from the point of view of their teacher...the things we see at home..ie brother/sister battles...are the same things that they see at school (whew!).  Lots of good things going on at school and we have a couple of things to focus on over the summer.  Our kids are doing great!

Easter eggs:  We decorated Easter Eggs and had some trepidation about having six cups of dye sitting on a table.  Our concerns were unwarranted as Jonas and Elsa had a great time decorating the Easter Eggs.  They are very excited for Easter this year!  We are going to be practicing our sprints and dives in anticipation for the Easter Egg hunt.

Birthday Week begins!

Greetings!  Mari's birthday is almost here and the twins are very excited to celebrate.  They may be a little confused and under the assumption that they will be getting presents this week but it is still cute to see their excitement!

We are almost all healthy finally!  It has been a long road to no runny noses, coughs, sneezing, sore anything, etc.  Good to be feeling good!

Jonas and Elsa continue practicing hitting off the tee and love playing baseball!  They are getting some really nice swings in there and both love to chase after their hits...they both see it as an individual task...I hit it, I get it, I hit it again.  We are working on them seeing it as a team concept:)

We celebrated with Mari's family for her birthday...the first of several birthday celebrations this week!  Go Mari!!!

Play ball!

Greetings!
Well the cold season hit us pretty good the past two weeks.  Mari and Dan both had two trips to the doctors and two rounds of antibiotics.  We are back on the upswing...coughs are still hanging around but all of us are feeling a lot better.

Jonas and Elsa discovered baseball this past week.  They noticed some baseball on tv and then were really interested in playing baseball.  Dan picked up a tee and some bats (including a sweet Hello Kitty bat) and the game was on!

We all were feeling good enough to have friends over this weekend and the kids were kind enough to pose for twin jammy pictures.

Elsa and Jonas continue to work hard and do great learning and work at school.  It is amazing to see their writing, drawing, and reading improve on an almost daily basis!

God Bless,

Dan & Mari & Elsa & Jonas
