Greetings!
Jonas and Elsa had yet another great week. The bikes were big on the to-do list every day. Elsa likes to go fast but had a bit of a problem slowing down. She had a couple of crashes and we are working on building up her confidence again. Jonas is steady going and is loving his bike. Both of the kids like to see Mari and Dan on their bikes too. Jonas and Elsa have made a ton of progress on their bikes in one short week! It is a lot of fun!!!
Mari has been going on a month with the same persistent cold and cough. The doctor took a peek and determined that she had bronchitis. She is on some serious medication now and hopefully will be feeling better in no time.
This weekend was spent resting, in between bike riding, and prepping to watch the oscars. The funny thing is that the only nominated movie we have seen is a kid's movie!

New bikes!
Greetings!
Elsa and Jonas are proud new owners of bikes! They took two or three tentative pedals and then they were off flying around the store...and the next day around the driveway and sport court. They are naturals. There was some assembly required but Elsa and Jonas were very patient while Dan attempted to make sense of the directions.
It is great to see them laugh, and they did while the wind blew through their hair! What a sight!

Shining like a star!
Greetings!
Our kids have great smiles. They love to show them off when they are playing, singing, laughing, reading, helping cook, and a host of other activities. They shine when they smile. This morning Elsa went with Dan to church to do some singing. Jonas and Mari were a little under the weather. Elsa wanted to sit in the garden after church and her smile just beamed! It was a great thing to see and we wanted to share a picture of her sitting on her favorite bench at church.
Jonas loves the monkey bars! You can see him beam with pride in his hard work while he hangs from one the bars yesterday. Jonas and Elsa love to work hard!

Super kids!
Greetings!
Jonas and Elsa had a wonderful week at school. They worked really hard and on one of the days they got to meet a pilot (one of their classmate's dad). They were very excited and they each got their pilot wings to wear! This was really neat because we have been talking with them about how we are going to fly in an airplane in a couple of months for a trip. (The pictures above are from the olympia children's museum!)
Dan's play ended last week but Jonas and Elsa were still asking if he was going to play practice for the next c couple of days. Nights are free again and we are getting back into our normal routine!
Jonas and Elsa discovered a couple of hats upstairs and decided that they were the final piece of their super-hero costumes. See picture for the total ensemble.
We would like to extend our thoughts and prayers out to Dan's Aunt Billie and Garry. Dan's cousin, Freitjof, passed away last sunday. He was a thoughtful and kind person. He will be missed.
