Greetings!
This past week we took Elsa in to meet with a G.I. specialist based on the reoccurring suggestions that Elsa may need a G-tube to help with her weight gain. Within the first three minutes of our meeting with the specialist he looked at the chart, Elsa, and his notes and said that he didn't think she was a candidate for a G-tube. He was happy with her continued weight gain and her overall activity level. What a relief! The doctor did want to do a couple of studies on Elsa's GI tract to see if there were any narrowing at either end of the stomach that may be problematic for her. Overall, it was a wonderful appointment with lots of good information. Elsa is now in the 14 pound club (14-3ounces). She is trying to beat Mari's one year weight of 17 pounds...three months to go!
Elsa and Jonas celebrated their one year birthday with their good friend Joshua. Joshua was also born on December 12th. The three had lots of fun playing, crawling-go Elsa and Jonas!, walking-go Joshua!, and sharing toys. What a great day!
We had a great visit with some friends from our church this past weekend. They had been such a wonderful support during our time in the hospital it was a great joy for them to get to spend some time with Elsa and Jonas.
We had to enable an option to approve all comments on the blog after the spam message showed up on the last post. Sorry about that!
God Bless,
Dan & Jonas & Elsa & Mari
So, let's use this note as a test to see if my comments do get through without necessary approval. Happy Birthday to you, Elsa and Jonas. Soon you will be going on camping trips with Mom and Dad and LOVING "SPAM". (Cute). From the ol' camper.
